Who Will it Be
Well today there's big political doings in the state of Florida you know the state made famous for those creepy ballots with those mysterious hanging "chads" that all had to be counted over and over by hand to determine a final outcome. As a Republican and a concerned citizen the field is narrowing. Good old Newt and Mitt and a really nice guy Rick Santorum. None of these names seem to point to a real President. I don't know why it is but I sorta like the names George, Thomas, Dwight, and Abraham which seem to connotative of great Presidents. Thomas Jefferson was probably the best we ever had and without a doubt the smartest mind of all.
We were in the barbershop Saturday and as usual the conversation between playing tunes made its way to the field of candidates vying for President from the Republican Party. Already several contenders have elected to pull out of the race. But you never know, I just heard on GMA today Perry might be coming back for another dose and the guy with all the "hair" might just endorse someone as early as this week. We all agreed Ron Paul is mean as the devil himself and hasn't had a kind word for any of the candidates, is it any wonder he finds himself lacking substantial support.
The caucuses and primaries seem to be only yielding a lot of rhetoric. Where have all the good men gone? Men who have leadership skills and workable ideas that will reshape our country and get it back on track.
Hopefully when the dust settles and a candidate is finally selected, he will be one who can step up to the plate with some leadership this country so desperately needs. Call it singing in a can if you will but the next President must be one who can take the heat from both sides and have strong fundamental principles, It's time to grab the bull by the horns and for some real change. This isn't popular but we are overburdened with so many "freebies" and misuse of government handouts both at home and abroad, if the needed change doesn't come soon, we are doomed. Time to balance the budget like you and I have had to do. Living within our means is now a priority and necessary if we are to continue to survive. I've eaten gravy made with water instead of milk and it still tasted good cause I was hungry. It's high time we as Americans face the facts there is a famine in the land of plenty and most is the result of our own stupidity.

I hope the candidate we need is the candidate we get.
I'm puzzled why you are a Republican.............but i'm British so I'm not fully aware of all your politics. It's the pople fiddling taxes and the bankers who have stolen all ut money yet they blame the people on state benefits.AHhhhhhhhhhhh it's a strange world.Nice to meet you again.
I don't know whose politicos are the more disgusting, yours or ours. Where has inner strength, dignity, compassion, bravery, intelligence and decency gone in politics?
Nasty little twerps who can't wait to get a license to steal seems to be the stuff of politicians today.
Jefferson will be turning over in his grave.
Who on Earth would allow himself to answer to "Newt" all his life?
Bob
Good and timely Hub Fiddleman. Today was the Primary in Florida. I can't vote in this state, but if I could, I'd Vote for Romney. I think he will surprise a lot of People and Win in 2012 and be a Good President for our Country...Just my opinion.
